    Hollywood sign trail closure is ‘long overdue’ for some but a ‘sad’ day for others

    In a span of about 10 minutes, Daria Alasmar can hike from a paved road in the Hollywood Hills’ Beachwood Canyon neighborhood to a breathtaking view of Griffith Park, the city skyline, and, of course, the Hollywood sign. “When I have the free time, I always like to come here just to, you know, clear my head,” Alasmar, 26, said on a recent visit to the lookout point on the Hollyridge Trail, reachable from a entrance at the end of a row of houses on Beachwood Drive.
